EVOLVE
STRENGTHEN

As the nation’s largest Jewish women’s organization, Hadassah’s lifechanging impact is powered by nearly 300,000 members, donors and changemakers. This national network — which includes 610 chapters, units and Evolve Hadassah communities — raises funds for our lifesaving work, advocates for key issues, educates and empowers women and builds community around our mission.

“To be part of an organization of powerful women with shared values and backgrounds, an organization that affects so many in not only lifechanging but also lifesaving ways, is truly an extraordinary experience.”

— Carol Rotenberg, National Board member; senior advisor, major gifts and donor experience

“Jewish students throughout the US are experiencing antisemitism, bullying and hate..… It is critical to speak up in support of legislative efforts for change.”

— Hadassah member Alice Bresman (at the Massachusetts Special Commission Hearing)

We fought antisemitism and hate through advocacy and coalition building, opposed biased resolutions by the American Academy of Pediatrics, co-sponsored the Capitol Hill Briefing on Antisemitism in Healthcare and co-hosted the National Conference of Women Changemakers with the American Muslim & Multifaith Women's Empowerment Council.

“I feel very badly for the children of Jerusalem ... that they are going to have to deal with issues that children in this country don't have to deal with. And I'd like to help that cause. And to that end, I've promised Hadassah $10 million... to aid the development of their pediatric unit at the Hadassah hospital in Jerusalem."

— Ernest Rady, Rady Family Foundation (at the Hadassah Founders Dinner)

A Network of Changemakers

Explore the moments, milestones and accomplishments that brought Hadassah’s mission to life this year, powered by the people who make our work possible.

Our Advocacy: A Snapshot

Hadassah built up relationships with members of Congress, the White House, federal agencies and state-level officials, making significant strides in Washington, DC, state legislatures and internationally.

  • Nearly 120 Hadassah leaders and members conducted over 50 meetings with members of Congress, the Administration and state policymakers.
  • 8,500+ advocates sent more than 56,000 letters to policymakers.
  • Hadassah led or joined 40 group letters to the UN, federal, state and local governments, corporations and professional organizations.
  • Hadassah led key partnerships with Jewish, women’s, interfaith and health organizations.

Championing Women’s Health

In 2025, Hadassah urged Congress to protect research funding, championed legislation safeguarding reproductive health and freedom, and advanced work in breast cancer, heart health, maternal health and the inclusion of women in clinical trials. Chapters and regions across the country raised awareness through women’s health events, including Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities. The annual Hadassah Northeast Walk for Women’s Health raised more than $80,000 with 175 participants. At the 69th UN Commission on the Status of Women, Hadassah hosted Improving Women’s and Children’s Health Through Innovation and Collaboration.

Strong Leaders: Now — and in the Future

Committed to empowering women, Hadassah expanded our leadership development by providing strategic capacity-building for our 600+ chapter presidents. Concurrently, Evolve Hadassah: The Next Generation continued its Leadership Fellows program, a two-year initiative. These fellows are now building community, deepening ties to Israel and stepping into vital Hadassah roles.

“When you meet people who have been directly impacted by Hadassah’s work, it emboldens you to spread its objectives and fundraise with even more vigor,” said Tory Roman, president, Kesher OAK Hadassah.

In 2025, Hadassah-supported Young Judaea scholarships helped young American Jews build lifelong connections to Israel.

A New Dormitory at Meir Shfeyah

When Miri Levine and her husband, Jeffrey, first visited Meir Shfeyah, they didn’t know what to expect but “fell in love within minutes.” On May 22, Levine Miri and her cousin Fifi Goodfellow, co-trustees of the Albert & Victoria Naggar Charitable Trust, helped celebrate the dedication of the first new dormitory to be built at the village since 1989. The Albert and Victoria Naggar Dormitory is named for Miri and Fifi’s uncle and his wife, who did not have, but loved, children.

Shaping Conversations, Inspiring Connection

Hadassah engages our existing community while reaching new audiences and helping drive important conversations.

  • Hadassah earned media coverage locally, nationally and globally in 2025, including in The Forward, Nature, i24, JTA, Hey Alma, JNS, Psychology Today, The Times of Israel, The Jerusalem Post and Publishers Weekly
  • Hadassah Magazine won 13 Simon Rockower Awards.
  • Hadassah’s social media platforms reached, engaged and expanded the Hadassah community, increasing 10.3 percent (up to 101,239).
  • The Hadassah On Call podcast brought Hadassah Medical Organization expertise directly to listeners.

Modeling Differences

“If a medical center in the heart of Israel operating in the wake of the October 7 attacks and during a time of war can maintain trust among an extremely diverse group of employees, perhaps it can serve as a model for other organizations struggling to heal internal fractures so that they, too, can do the work for which they were created,” wrote Rely Alon, deputy director of the Hadassah Medical Organization Division of Nursing and Health Professionals, and Orit Meridan, patient and family experience manager, in an op-ed in eJewish Philanthropy.
